All About
Bert
Let me touch your heart, the part of you that might really see.
And then, when you open your eyes, you'll see the world for the
first time.

Just a little bit about the author.  I am 38 years old, and my birthday is in August...a roaring Leo!  The picture
above was taken in January of 2002, the 1996 refers to the copyright of the quote!

In April of 2003, I moved to Dallas, Texas...what an adventure it's been.  Before that, I lived in Grand Rapids,
Michigan, starting in October 1996.  I moved there from southern California, where I had lived since February
of 1991.  Even though I was born in Indiana, and raised in Ohio, I will always consider California my home.

I've lived in Indiana, Ohio, Texas, Illinois, South Carolina, California, Michigan, and Texas again.  I was in the
military, so that accounts for many of the states I lived in.

I have two brothers and a sister.  We are all very close, even though we are scattered across the U.S.  My
parents still live in the house I grew up in, in Ohio, and I try to visit them as often as possible.  I also have four
nephews, and three nieces.  Our
family just keeps growing!

My true home away from home though, would have to be
Paris, France.  I realized a lifelong dream in April of
1999 when I traveled with my (then) partner Brian, and my two best
friends, Cassie and Gina, to the City of
Love and Lights.  It was an amazing experience, to say the least.

Aside from authoring
Simply, I have written two short books of poetry, and will have two of my poems
published in an annual this year, through the
International Library of Poetry.

I'm an avid fan of movies and music too!  My musical tastes vary from pop to country, and my favorite band is
Erasure.  I have everything they've done, and two CDs full of songs that aren't available on their albums
(many rare tracks and B-sides).

So...that about sums it up.  Email me if you'd like to know more, and enjoy my
